HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Humanity Action Aid is a National Non-Governmental Organization, an impartial, nonpartisan, and independent aid organization working in situations of exclusion, poverty, conflict, and calamity. Humanity Action Aid works closely with people with disabilities, the most vulnerable and marginalized communities, to respond to the critical needs of people with disabilities, refugees, children, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable populations to improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights. Humanity Action Aid’s current portfolios adopt an integrated and multi-sectoral approach, including interventions centred on youth and women empowerment, environmental conservation, and inclusion and disabilities mainstreaming across the programmatic area
Humanity Action Aid was established in 2022 by a group of South Sudanese intellectuals to empower communities, create awareness and advocate for the dignity and fundamental rights of people with disabilities; inclusive humanitarian response and service delivery aimed at improving access to services and general well-being of people living with disabilities and other marginalized communities. Our current focused areas are centred around, Inclusion and disabilities mainstreaming, Inclusive education, General protection, Policy and Civic education, youth and women empowerment, human right and the rule of law, including peace-building and reconciliation, and provision of psychosocial support. We advocate for inclusive youth and women empowerment and environmental conservation for sustainable development.
